Swap Attachments with Ease Using New Hydraulic X-Change Mounting System

Compact excavator operators no longer need to manually position or align attachment pins during hook-up with the new Hydraulic X-Change mounting system from Bobcat Company, a business of Ingersoll Rand.

The optional Hydraulic X-Change mounting system for Bobcat compact excavators features hydraulically activated attachment retention pins that retract to remove the attachment and extend to secure the attachment, thus saving the operator time and labor.

Several attachments can be used with Bobcat compact excavators, including the trenching bucket, grading bucket, breaker, auger and compactor. Once attached, the feature maintains optimal “pin-on” bucket geometry so that arm and bucket force are not compromised.

Operators can easily activate the Hydraulic XChange mounting system with a rocker switch on the left console inside the cab.

Cummins

Cummins has published a two-page flyer devoted to its KTA 38GC for oil and gas applications. Cummins says its natural gas engines provide proven reliability for compression packages whether the use is gathering natural gas at the wellhead, boosting pressure for pipeline transmission or operating a CNG refueling station. Cummins says the KTA38GC is a high performance natural gas engine that shares the proud heritage of the Cummins K Series diesel engines and many of the same heavy-duty components. It is available in two configurations: simple lean burn or catalyst.

The Lincoln Electric Company

The Lincoln Electric Company adds new arc-welding electrodes to its family of Pipeliner™ welding consumables designed especially for the professional pipe welder and the rigorous demands of the global pipe-welding environment. The Pipeliner product group includes consumables for every arc-welding process used for cross-country pipe welding or pipe fabrication, including: stick. MIG, flux- cored and submerged arc. Lincoln says its Pipeliner consumables are the most thoroughly tested pipe welding consumables on the market today. What makes the Pipeliner consumables the clear choice for pipe professionals is consistent performance, readily available testing documents, the right packaging and global support.

MESA Products

Mesa Products has begun distributing sacrificial anodes for the oil and gas industry from Performance Metals. The anodes incorporate the patented “Red Spot” wear indicator technology. MESA Products provides engineering, installation and materials for cathodic protection systems in the oil and gas industry, including pipeline, distribution systems and underground tanks. MESA says the sacrificial wear indicators provides added value to its customers.

URS Energy Services

URS offers a six-page brochure spotlighting its worldwide cultural resource services for the pipeline industry. URS says it has cultural resource specialists on permanent staff in more than a dozen offices in North America these staffers have experience in all 50 states as well as in numerous countries in South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. URS says its reports address cultural resources (both on land and underwater) within a pipeline project’s area of potential effects, including archaeological sites, buildings, structures, or objects of significance. Staff members have extensive experience dealing directly with state, federal and international agencies.

Elsevier

Gulf Professional Publishing, an imprint of Elsevier, has published Bandbook of Natural Gas Transmission and Processing by Saeid Mokhatab, WilliamA. Poeand James G. Speight. Contributors include Prof. M.R. Islam, Gary Zatzman and wim Van Wasenhove the foreword in the original edition is written by Dr. Michael J. Economies. The work is described as an attempt to capture the entire chain of natural gas including transmission and processing. It follows an interdisciplinary approach and discusses all relevant aspects of gas gathering processing and transmission. Emphasizing engineering rather than science. Field data are captured and converted into a form that can be used by operating engineers and researchers.
